Self-Organized Critical Networks

We present a multi-scale physics-based framework to distill robust and sustainable distributed management schemes for self-organization of complex networks, which constitute of collaborating distributed ICT systems, organizations and multi-agent systems. Our framework is based on a dynamic scale-space paradigm, which assumes that appropriate network management structures manifest themselves as intrinsic network connections, metrics and evolutions at critical scales. This self-organization of complex networks is grounded by the continuous interaction and co-evolution of the network entities being aware to a certain extent of their own and others resource capabilities and constraints.
