The New England Complex Systems Institute (NECSI) is an independent educational and research institution dedicated to advancing the study of complex systems. NECSI was established as a joint effort of faculty of New England academic institutions for the advancement of communication and collaboration outside of institutional and departmental boundaries. NECSI welcomes applications for postdoctoral positions for research projects on unified approaches relevant to describing and analyzing complex systems. The research may have a focus or primary application in a particular discipline. In addition to general projects, specific projects with anticipated openings include research in: multiscale representations, evolutionary theory, bioinformatics and functional genomics, distributed computing, meteorology, non-equilibrium dynamics, agent based modeling, engineering design, cognitive modeling, management/organization science and education of complex systems concepts.
NECSI Postdoctoral fellows may also receive joint appointments at MIT, Harvard or other local academic institutions.
